This workshop will present findings from a 4-year NIMH-funded study focused on the cultural adaptation of an evidence-based parenting intervention for Latino Immigrants. Participants will also be exposed to the core components of the adapted intervention and will discuss how cultural adaptation can reduce health disparities in research and clinical practice.

In this presentation, digital intimate connections between people and their technologies are explored. This presentation opens with a brief overview of intimacy, followed by a description of the predominant waves of the modern technological age. Dr. Christianson then discusses two types of intimacy—attachment and sexuality—in a digital context, which includes digital attachment (digiattachment) and digital sexuality (digisexuality). The presentation concludes with a brief overview of attending to digital intimacy in clinical practice, including digiidentity development, digistigma, digiphobia, and erotocentrism.
