2018 AAMFT Annual Conference Call for Abstracts

The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is now accepting abstract submissions for the 2018 Annual Conference, November 15 - 18 in Louisville, Kentucky.

AAMFT is seeking presenters for the 2018 Annual Conference (#AAMFT18) that incorporate concepts and stories from our unique history. Virtually all our clinical work and models can be traced to the days of Ernest Groves, Emily Mudd and Lester Dearborn. Yet, today, many would argue that our unique historical frames and narratives have been diluted. Industrialization of mental health care, trademarking and marketing efforts have resulted in cornerstone concepts being avoided, abandoned, or simply neglected from discussions. While the concepts are still part of the fundamental epistemology, the richness and distinctiveness should be dusted off and placed squarely on the mantel. Preference will be given to abstracts that incorporate and highlight those important concepts.

The deadline for abstract submissions is December 1, 2017. Extensions will not be given. If you have questions concerning submitting an abstract or becoming a reviewer please contact Alex Hunt at 703-253-0114 or ahunt@aamft.org. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Louisville!
