Eligibility of Participation - Use of the AAMFT Roommate Locator are available only to those who can legally form a binding contract under law. Its use is not available to minors.

The AAMFT Roommate Locator is a venue established for the convenience of attendees at AAMFT conferences who are looking to share a hotel room with one or more other attendees. The user, via a code word, not AAMFT, does the content of postings and any changes. AAMFT does not screen or censor any listings or in any way control the postings on the site. AAMFT does not assume responsibility for content and will not alter or change any listings once they are entered. Listings can be deleted at any time by the user, and will be deleted automatically at the end of the conference. Submitted postings which are offensive, unlawful, harassing, libelous, vulgar are subject to being deleted before their expiration date.

Limitation of Postings - We do not endorse any potential roommate. As far as potential roommates who list with us, we do not make any representation as to their character, credit worthiness, or ability to pay their rooming expenses. No one is under any obligation to use this service.

Please use care with how you deal with other people on this site. We do not screen potential roommates nor inspect hotel rooms. We do not guarantee the identity of the individuals, credit worthiness, character, nor the content of listings posted on our site. We will not be held responsible for adverse consequences arising out of contacting or making associations with users of our web site. All information is submitted voluntarily and this information will be made available to the public. All risks for making this information available will be borne by you the user.

AAMFT is not responsible for any inaccuracy in the listings on the AAMFT Roommate Locator. We do not confirm that each user is who they say that they are and we do not become involved in user to user relationships. If a dispute should arise between yourself and another user you release AAMFT as well as its agents from any claims or damages (actual or consequential) of every kind, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed arising from such a dispute. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542 which says "A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which, if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor." Use for lawful purposes only. Posting of obscene, defamatory, fraudulent information, offensive content, harassing language or libelous material is prohibited on this site. Such action could result in the deletion of your posting.

You agree in your advertisement for a roommate not to advertise any preference, limitation, or discrimination because of race, color, religion, handicap, familial status, or national origin, or intention to make such preference, limitation or discrimination.

We will not knowingly accept or permit any advertisement for a roommate that is in violation of the law.

Breach of this agreement. Any of the information that is currently listed on our site will be suspended temporarily or indefinitely if we are unable to authenticate any information that you provide us.
