Diane Gehart, PhD, has been working with individuals, couples, children, and families to quickly and effectively resolve problems for nearly 20 years. As a Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at California State University, Northridge, she has studied and teaches a wide range of therapeutic approaches and maintains a cutting edge practice based on emerging research and theory.
Dr. Gehart has authored several books, including Mastering Competencies in Family Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance in Family Therapy, and The Complete Core Competencies Assessment System and co-edited Collaborative Therapy: Conversations and Relationships that Make a Difference. Dr. Gehert is a California-licensed MFT where she maintains a private practice and she is a Clinical Fellow of AAMFT.
