Practice Description
I help my clients feel better about themselves and deal more effectively with the people in their lives. Do you sometimes wonder how to get your partner or children to understand you? Are you feeling frustrated and don't know who to talk with? Do you want to increase your effectiveness with others? It is so very important to be known and understood by the people that you care about the most. Your relationships have the potential to be a place where you can bring more joy and happiness into your life. My approach to therapy is to facilitate successful communication and cooperation resulting in increased closeness and affection. Our work together can help you learn about the patterns of relating to each other, where you get stuck, how to better understand each other and how to resolve your differences respectfully. Once you understand and learn effective strategies and develop key skills, you have the capacity to create a close loving relationship no matter what your past history or current situation. Symptoms such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, illness, infertility, infidelity, isolation, loneliness, and low self- esteem can contribute to personal and relationship problems. -If you and your partner argue and fight more than you'd like to... -If you are in an "OK" relationship but you secretly long for more... -If you would like help resolving a current challenge or long standing difficulties, I welcome your call or email and I would like to hear your story.

-AAMFT Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor. -TFT (Thought Field Therapy Certification and Training in Levels one and two). Thought Field Therapy has been used in clinical settings to to successfully treat a wide variety of psychological problems. Most research has been in the area of first hand clinical observation and the personal reports coming from therapists and clients have been impressive. One formal investigation, conducted in early 1995, by Charles R. Figley, Ph.D. and Joyce Carbonell, Ph.D. of the Psychological Stress Research Program and Clinical Laboratory at Florida State University yielded impressive results in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. -It is extraordinarily powerful, in that clients receive nearly immediate relief from their suffering and treatment appears to be permanent. -It can be taught to nearly anyone so that clients can not only treat themselves, but treat others affected. -It appears to do no harm. -It does not require the client to talk about their troubles, something that often causes more emotional pain and discourages many from seeking treatment. -It is extremely efficient (fast and long lasting).
