The AAMFT - PAC is your voice in the political process. It is an
important vehicle in support of AAMFT's federal advocacy efforts to promote the practice
and profession of marriage and family therapy.
Funds are contributed to candidates for federal elected office, as authorized by law,
and for administrative costs for managing the fund. The AAMFT - PAC gives priority to
federal elected officials who are in leadership positions on congressional committees with
which AAMFT regularly interacts and who are themselves candidates for federal elected
office.
The AAMFT - PAC was established in 1986 and is governed by an Executive Committee
consisting of the President, Treasurer, Executive Director, and General Counsel of AAMFT.
