AAMFT Terms of Use Policy
We, the American Association for Marriage
and Family Therapy (“AAMFT”), are committed to allowing
AAMFT members and the general public access to all of the
AAMFT websites. This statement discloses the terms of use
for all of the AAMFT websites, including aamft.org,
therapistlocator.net and FamilyTherapyResources.net.
Acceptance of Terms
AAMFT is the sole owner of this website
(“Site”). By accessing this site, including all documents,
files, and other information available on or through this
Site, you are agreeing to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and
to this Site’s Privacy Statement. If you do not accept
these terms, you may not have access to or use this Site.
If you breach any of these terms, your authorization to use
this Site automatically terminates.
Use of Site
This site is owned and controlled by
AAMFT. This Site contains documents, files, and other
information provided by AAMFT or licensors of AAMFT. AAMFT
authorizes you to view and copy materials at this Site for
non-commercial use only. If you copy any materials or other
information on this Site, you must include all copyright and
trademark markings that appear on these materials. You are
not authorized to alter or modify in any way the copyright
and trademark markings that appear on any of the materials
or other information that appears on this Site. You are
prohibited from interfering with the operation of this Site
or otherwise using this Site for any illegal or improper
purpose.
Member Access and Use
In order to obtain access to “members
only” portions of the Site, you must be a current member of
AAMFT. All members receive a member identification number
(“member ID”) and password. You agree that you will be
responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your
member ID. You agree to take precautions to keep your
member ID confidential so that another person does not use
your member ID without your permission. You agree to
contact us if you lose your member ID or if you believe
someone has unauthorized access to your member ID. AAMFT is
not liable for any activity that occurs as a result of your
failure to protect the confidentiality of your passwork or
otherwise allowing another person to use your member ID.
You agree that AAMFT may terminate your
access privileges to the members only portion of this Site
if AAMFT believes that you have violated any of the
provisions in these Terms. AAMFT reserves the right to
disclose your personally identifiable information, including
your member ID, as required by law and when we believe that
disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or otherwise
to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or other
legal process.
Intellectual Property
The information on this Site, the use
of this information, and the use of this Site is protected
by patents, copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual
property rights. By accessing this site, you agree to use
this site in compliance with all applicable laws, including
all applicable patent, copyright, trademark, and other
intellectual property laws. You are not authorized to use
any of the information on this Site in violation of any
applicable laws.

Choice of Law
The Terms of Use and the relationship
between you and AAMFT, and its affiliates, divisions,
officers, directors, employees, members, volunteers, and
agents, will be governed by the laws of the District of
Columbia. The venue concerning any dispute between you and
AAMFT will rest only in the courts of the District of
Columbia.
Entire Agreement & Severability
These Terms of Use represent the entire
agreement between you and AAMFT. If a court of competent
jurisdiction finds any provision of these Terms to be
invalid, the invalid provision will not affect the validity
of the remaining provisions in these Terms.
Changes to the Terms of Use
AAMFT reserves the right to change the
Terms of Use at any time. Please review these Terms
frequently for any changes.
